I’m a certified athletic trainer with additional certification in Pediatric Advanced Athletic Training, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with athletes at both the high school and collegiate levels. I currently teach PEF 399 Special Studies Sports Medicine and Injury Prevention, where I love helping students better understand how the body works, how injuries happen, and the many different ways we can prevent and manage them.
One of my favorite parts about teaching in the UO Department of PE & Rec is getting to share practical, real-world knowledge that students can apply not only in sports and fitness settings, but in everyday life as well. I’m passionate about helping people recognize how movement, recovery, biomechanics, and overall wellness all play a role in keeping our bodies healthy and performing at their best.
Outside of teaching, you can usually find me playing pickleball or tennis, baking sourdough bread and sweet treats, or spending time with friends and family at one of Eugene’s local coffee shops!
